BONUS TIP: Fever Salt Bath:

Take this bath clean; i.e. take a quick shower first if you need one. Do not use anything else in the bath except what you have put in.

Fill tub with warm water (as warm, not hot. as you can tolerate) add:

Epsom Salt: 1-2 cups when sick, (use 1 cup)

Kosher Salt: 1-2 cups when sick, (use 1 cup)

Baking Soda: 1-2 cups when sick, (use 1 cup)

While there is no specific dosage level at which “magic” happens, based on the most recent research by GrassrootsHealth—an organization that has greatly contributed to the current knowledge on vitamin D through their D* Action Study—it appears as though most adults need about 8,000 IU’s of vitamin D a day. This is significantly higher than previously recommended. For children, many experts agree they need about 35 IU’s of vitamin D per pound of body weight.

BIO:

Since 1996, Dr. Maj has run a family-oriented subluxation-based wellness practice in Chicago where she specializes in pediatric, pregnancy, family, and wellness care. Dr. Maj is certified in Pediatrics and the Webster Technique from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Maj is on the board of the League of Chiropractic Women, a member of the Royal Knights of the Chiropractic Roundtable, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the World Congress of Chiropractic Women.

The second edition of her book, You Can Be Well, was released in 2013. In this book she discusses the 5 vital steps to wellness. Inspired by chiropractic missions she participated in both the Dominican Republic and Haiti, Dr. Stephanie Maj has created her own mission work right in her home town of Chicago. She has volunteered her time at the Night Ministry, a homeless organization, where she adjusts homeless youth on the streets as well as in their local shelter.

Dr. Maj speaks on a variety of topics ranging from success in practice to women’s health, to pediatrics and pregnancy. She brings an energy and enthusiasm to the stage in a way that helps inspire others to reach for their dreams. Her newest project is a podcast, Women Seeking Wellness, which can be found on iTunes, Stitcher and on her personal website drmaj.com.

Her clinic, Community Chiropractic, is filled with people in various stages of health. We have sick people on the road to getting well; we have healthy people that utilize chiropractic care as a means of keeping their body functioning optimally.
