Eden Energy Medicine Clinical Practitioner

Owner of Roots & Wings Energy

My journey as a healer began in the nursing field. I’ve always been drawn to caring for the whole person, recognizing that we are physical, mental, emotional and spiritual beings with important needs on each level. Holistic approaches are largely not recognized in Western medicine, but I found the model of hospice to have similar values. So for many years, I cared for cancer, palliative care and hospice patients—and it was fulfilling. I was able to gracefully honor each person exactly how they were in the moment and allow them to feel their own sense of dignity.

I still, however, felt there was something more I could offer as a healer.

While I was a caregiver and nurturer for others, I hadn’t always been the best at taking care of myself. I met an Eden Energy Medicine Practitioner at a local event and decided to book a session. I resonated deeply with the way she held the space of healing for me first, so that I could step into the space of healing for myself. I wasn’t judged and nothing felt forced. The practitioner simply focused on my needs and worked with my body’s energy systems.

As I continued to explore energy medicine, my life began to radically shift. I experienced a sense of vitality that I hadn’t known before. For the first time, I learned how to truly care for myself. I knew that I wanted to share energy medicine with others to empower them on their own journey to heal, evolve and optimize their wellness.

I studied Eden Energy Medicine (under Donna Eden and her experienced faculty) for 3 years to become a clinical practitioner. I whole-heartedly believe that it is one of the quickest, easiest and safest ways to reconnect with the body’s needs and effect positive change—physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Most traditions work with just one system. Eden Energy Medicine is special because it utilizes 9 energetic systems, wrapped up into one highly effective healing modality.

What I enjoy most about working with clients is that I can hold the space of complete acceptance of their states of being. The world doesn’t need any more judgement. I want clients to understand that energy is just energy—there is no right or wrong. We identify areas that are flowing well and areas that need support, and realize that it’s all part of their individual soul’s journey.

BRONSON’S HEALTH PHILOSOPHY

Most illnesses and lack of vitality are caused by unhealthy lifestyles. Our genes alone are not at fault. Most of the time it is what you are doing to your genes.

Many health issues that people suffer with can be helped through natural medicine. The focus of my practice is to provide guidance for my patients so they can achieve better health and wellness.

We work together on the following 3 basics: nurturing balanced energy, the fundamentals of healthy eating, as well as restoring proper spinal and joint movement. These four approaches; functional medicine, acupuncture, nutrition, and chiropractic can help move people toward health and healing.

Health is a process and a lifelong journey that demands our attention. My ultimate goal is to provide care to help people live a full and productive life.

AMY A. BRONSON, D.C., DIPL. Ac

Dr. Bronson received her B.S. degree in Community Health Education from Iowa State University. She received a B.S. degree in Human Biology, and a doctorate degree and initial acupuncture training from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago. She began her initial training and study in Functional Medicine in 1998.

Dr. Bronson is certified as a diplomate in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Washington, D.C. She earned her diplomate status by satisfying the requirements of the examination board of the NCCAOM and other clinical practice criteria of oriental medicine.

113 Dr. Maj’s Cholesterol Lowering Journey

May 2, 2018 by drmaj

http://traffic.libsyn.com/womenseekingwellness/Chol_113.mp3

In 3-4 months, with only lifestyle changes, I have flipped my high cholesterol back to normal! Let me show you how you can too, without drugs!

LDL cholesterol can build up in your arteries and form fatty, waxy deposits called plaques. High-density lipoprotein (HDL) is the “good,” healthy kind of cholesterol. It transports excess cholesterol out of your arteries to your liver, which removes it from your body.

HDL cholesterol is the well-behaved “good cholesterol.” This friendly scavenger cruises the bloodstream. As it does, it removes harmful bad cholesterol from where it doesn’t belong. High HDLlevels reduce the risk for heart disease — but low levels increase the risk.

Here are nine healthy ways to raise your “good” HDL cholesterol.

  1. Consume olive oil. Extra virgin olive oil may be more healthful than processed olive oils. …
  2. Follow a low-carb or ketogenic diet. …
  3. Exercise regularly. …
  4. Add coconut oil to your diet. …
  5. Stop smoking. …
  6. Lose weight. …
  7. Choose purple produce. …
  8. Eat fatty fish often.
  9. Fish oil supplements

What are statin side effects?

  • Muscle pain and damage. One of the most common complaints of people taking statins is muscle pain. …
  • Liver damage. Occasionally, statin use could cause an increase in the level of enzymes that signal liver inflammation. …
  • Increased blood sugar or type 2 diabetes. …
  • Neurological side effects.
