Eat More Kale

July 29, 2015 by drmaj

I can make this at home but it is nice to know that Trader Joe’s has the option. Although four dollars for 2 ounces it’s a pretty steep price for some kale.

I loved these so much I found this cheesy kale chip recipe and tried it in my oven. It works yet after all that work, I burnt a whole batch and said forget it and bought a dehydrator. It is a really easy thing, even people that hate kale love this. I like to add a bit of cayenne for kick.

The big question people ask me is “Why is kale so darn good for you?” Time magazine did a piece on this why kale is the cruciferous king!

Meet the Perfect Journal!

May 20, 2015 by drmaj

 Love, Love, Love!

I met a Nathan at an art fair last summer selling these wonderful handmade journal covers. The beauty is that they cover a regular old composition book so no more spending money over and over on Moleskin products.

Blackout Zentangle

December 26, 2014 by drmaj

Love to combine my two loves together! There is something about putting pen to paper that shuts my brain down when I cannot just sit quietly and meditate.

The “dootles” are a meditation form called Zentangling. Repetitive, simple steps are part of the Zentangle Method. These steps support relaxation, focus and inspiration. It can be a wonderful daily ritual.

The blackoutpoetry is something I discovered from an author/mentor of mine, Austin Kleon. Finding the beauty in the chaos!
